MELBOURNE, Feb 22 AAP - Disgraced AFL player manager Ricky Nixon is believed to have
left Australia and heading for Ireland.

The news came from a tweet from Melbourne radio station MMM'S breakfast show hosted
by Collingwood president Eddie McGuire.

"He left the country last night," the station's social media Twitter page said.

"Ed received an SMS from him in the departure lounge."

In a tweet posted after 7.15am (AEDT) the claim was repeated.
